Our Approach

What is VR?

VR or Virtual Reality, is a concept you've probably heard a lot about from friends, seen in movies or on the news. There are lots of different types of VR headsets.   You may have even tried a VR headset with your phone.  But what is it?

Definition from Merriam Webster:  an artificial environment which is experienced through sensory stimuli (such as sights and sounds) provided by a computer and in which one's actions partially determine what happens in the environment.

What that means in laymans terms is this - You put on a specially designed headset and visually enter the environment or game of your choice.  Whatever direction you look you will only see the environment created inside the headset and not the "real world" environment around you.  You become visually immersed in the experience with the ability (in most cases) to interact with the virtual environment you see.

This is not like watching television

It is like being inside of the television.  With tv you can watch a shark swimming on the screen.  With VR you can see and hear a shark swim past you.  You can watch a baseball game on tv.  In VR you can swing the bat, make the catch or reach out and high five a teammate!

What do we Offer?

At Edge of Reality, we have over 50 games and experiences available that change monthly.  We use the top of the line VR headsets run on high end computers.  These are the ones that let you physically walk around, see your hands, and do things that are impossible with lower end products.

How does this work?

We rent "stations" by the hour.  Each station that we rent comes with 1 headset and seating for 3 additional people.  You are able to switch games, and who's playing as many times as you like with no additional charges.  (If multiple people want to play at the same time, multiple station rentals are required)  Our knowledgeable staff is ready to help, and if you have any questions feel free to call or come in and ask us!
